Shannon Reed is the author of the Thurber Prize in American Humor semi-finalist, Why Did I Get a B? And Other Mysteries We’re Discussing in the Faculty Lounge. Her second book, Why We Read, is forthcoming from Hanover Square Press in 2023. She frequently contributes to McSweeney’s Internet Tendency and The New Yorker, and she is Assistant Teaching Professor in the Writing Program at the University of Pittsburgh. Shannon is at work on her first novel, set at a fine and performing arts summer camp in the Poconos in 1997.
