Sarah Shotland

Sarah Shotland is the author of Junkette, a coming-of-age novel about heroin and hurricanes, and coeditor, with Sheryl St. Germain, of the literary anthology Words Without Walls: Writers on Addiction, Violence, and Incarceration. She is an assistant professor of English at Chatham University and a cofounder of the Words Without Walls program, which brings creative writing classes to jails and drug treatment centers in Pittsburgh.
