Kathryn Rhett

Kathryn Rhett is an assistant professor at Gettysburg College. Her poems have been published in The Antioch Review, Ploughshares and elsewhere. She just recently edited an anthology entitled “Survival Stories: Memoirs of Crisis” (Doubleday), which is due out in August. This essay has been excerpted from her new book, “Near Breathing”, published by Duquesne University Press as part of the Emerging Writers in Creative Nonfiction book series.
