Emily Bernard

Born in Nashville, Tennessee, Emily Bernard currently lives in Vermont with her husband and twin daughters. Her work has appeared in The New Republic, The New Yorker, Harper’s, and O the Oprah Magazine. Black is the Body, her most recent book, won the LA Times Christopher Isherwood Prize for Autobiographical Prose. Emily is a 2020 Andrew Carnegie Fellow.
