Edward McPherson
Edward McPherson is the author of Buster Keaton: Tempest in a Flat Hat, The Backwash Squeeze and Other Improbable Feats, and The History of the Future: American Essays. He has written for the New York Times Magazine, Paris Review, and American Scholar, among others. He has received a Pushcart Prize, the PEN Southwest Book Award, the Gulf Coast Prize, an Artist Fellowship from the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis, and a Minnesota State Arts Board grant. He teaches at Washington University in St. Louis.
