Charles Fanning

Charles Fanning is the director of Irish studies at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, He is the author of many books and essays that deal with Irish ethnic/immigrant writing in America. Most recently, he was the editor of “Chicago Stories of James T. Farrell” and author of a new, second edition of “The Irish Voice in America: 250 Years of Irish-American Fiction.”
