Revision Made Simple(r)

Wednesday, November 17th @2 PM - 3:15 PM

Revision can be tough – sometimes, even tougher than facing a blank page.

Additional Information

This how-to webinar shows you the hands-on process of revision. You’ll get ideas for fresh approaches to revising—specific ways to make your next draft simpler, more artful, more active, and more focused—and a chance to see revision in action.

The webinar includes step-by-step revisions of material submitted by webinar attendees, from single paragraphs to larger sections.

In this webinar you will:

  • DISCOVER the right questions to ask yourself when approaching a revision
  • LEARN how to maintain point of view
  • SEE how to let readers get the information they need, all while keeping your prose active
  • UNDERSTAND better what best serves your piece

There will be time for a Q&A at the end of the presentation.

This webinar is for those who find revision to be a difficult, even daunting task.

All registrants receive a recording.

During the live presentation, Marty will revise paragraphs submitted by participants. To have your work considered for use in this presentation, please email your paragraph needing revision to [email protected]. There is no guarantee that your submission will be selected. If your paragraph is used in the presentation, your identity will be concealed.

Testimonials

I enjoyed reading other peoples work and getting feedback about my own work– the handouts/video links and class lessons were also very informative and relevantly paced to the give structural guidelines.
