J.D. Schraffenberger

J.D. Schraffenberger's work appears in Paterson Literary Review, Seattle Review, Louisville Review, Poet Lore, Dogwood, Appalachian Heritage, Journal of Kentucky Studies and elsewhere. He is the editor of Harpur Palate and founding editor of Elsewhere: A Journal for the Literature of Place. He is currently finishing a book-length creative nonfiction project called The Ground Beneath You, which confronts issues of globalization and environmental degradation in Jenkins, a former coal-camp town in southeastern Kentucky where his family is from.
