WHAT IS A PODCAST?

A podcast is similar to a radio show, only listeners can play programs when they want, where they want and how they want. There's no need to "tune in" at a certain time: Once a podcast is available, listeners can experience the complete audio file at their leisure on their computer, MP3 player or web browser.

Unique to podcasts is the listener's ability to hear episodes one at a time, or "subscribe" to a podcast. Subscribing to a podcast is like subscribing to a magazine: The magazine arrives every time a new one is printed, and you don't have to go out and buy a copy. When you subscribe to a podcast, all new shows will be automatically downloaded to your computer as they are published. They'll appear in the media player you use, such as iTunes.

HOW DO I LISTEN?

Cick here and you'll find youself on our podcasting page. You can listen to a PodLit episode by clicking the podcast icon next to the program description. We plan on adding new PodLit programs bi-weekly, and if you subscribe--which is free and easy--the new PodLit programs will automatically show up in your media player. To subscribe, click here. On the right side of the page under Actions, there is a Subscribe in iTunes option. Click there and PodLit will be added to the podcast category in your iTunes library. (Currently, this only works using Safari. If you use a different web browser and want to subscribe, read on for alternative instructions.)

To go directly to our iTunes page, click below. We recommend using the web browsers Safari and Mozilla Firefox. Internet Explorer does not always work for this link.
