Planning to attend the AWP Conference this year in Portland?

Stop by Booth #4000 in the Bookfair to browse magazines, books, merch, and more, and to say hello to our managing editor, Hattie Fletcher, our director of education, Sharla Yates, and, of course, our founder and editor, Lee Gutkind.

+ On Thursday 3/28 at 1:30 pm, we're hosting a reading to kick off our 25th (!) year. Help us celebrate with brief readings by contributors and contest winners—Brian Broome, Dinty W. Moore, Brenda Miller, and Suzanne Roberts (and a couple of surprise guests)—and founding editor Lee Gutkind's reflections on a quarter century of publishing. (Rooms D137-138)

+ On Friday 3/29 at 9 a.m., both Lee and Hattie will be speaking on panels. Lee will be talking about the importance of truth in memoir on "Rewriting History: Why It's Not OK to Fictionalize Our Memories" with Sarah Gerard, Mia Herman, and Patty Horvath (Room B114), and Hattie will be part of "Going Long: Editors & Writers of Longform Nonfiction in Conversation," with Jill Christman, Anna Leahy, Mike Dang, and Christopher Schaberg (Room E146).
