Bill Pitts

Bill Pitts is writing a book about the Georgia “work camp” prisons of the 1950s and ’60s. His research includes interviews with former inmates, wardens, and many others who remember the camps. His latest story is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah, and his fiction and nonfiction have also been published in The Massachusetts Review, Witness, The Burnside Review, and other journals.
